5th International Conference on Industrial and Hazardous Waste Management

The CVORR research team are presenting at the 5th International Conference on Industrial and Hazardous Waste Management.  The conference is being held in Greece, in Chania on the island of Crete on 27th-30th September 2016.  It will focusses on innovative aspects of Industrial and Hazardous Waste Management , new technologies, case studies, and valuating social and financial balances.

Dr. John Hahladakis, a key researcher on the CVORR team, will be presenting a paper entitled "Impact of Dry Recyclables collection Schemes on Plastics Recycling in the UK: Circular Economy Highly Depends on Collection Logistics".  The paper sets out research and takes a closer look at collection modalities, as a crucial aspect affecting the quantity and quality of recycling, using recent empirical serial data from household dry recyclables collection in the UK.
